Terms of Service

Please review the terms and conditions governing the use of LocalConvert web application tools.

1 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or utilizing any of the web-based file conversion and media manipulation utilities provided on LocalConvert, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

2 100% Client-Side Processing Nature

LocalConvert operates as an entirely client-side web application. All computational operations—including file parsing, decompression, rasterization, alpha channel extraction, PDF rendering, and ZIP archiving—are executed directly by your web browser's local engine. No files are uploaded to or stored on our servers.

3 Intellectual Property & File Ownership

You retain 100% full and unencumbered ownership, copyright, and intellectual property rights over all files and media converted using LocalConvert. Because files are processed entirely in your device's memory, we make no claims of ownership, licensing, or custodial control over any uploaded or converted assets.

4 Permitted Use and Conduct

You agree to use LocalConvert solely for lawful purposes. You may use LocalConvert for personal, professional, academic, or commercial workflows. You must not attempt to disrupt the client-side execution, reverse-engineer proprietary delivery assets, or inject malicious payloads into shared scripts.

5 Disclaimer of Warranties

LocalConvert is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While we employ battle-tested standard libraries (PDF.js, pdf-lib, JSZip, Mammoth, docx), we do not guarantee that file conversions will be error-free or that formatting parity will match proprietary software with 100% exactness in every edge-case scenario. Always retain backup copies of your source documents.

6 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LocalConvert and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from the use or inability to use the tools or loss of data during in-browser conversion.

7 Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted directly to this page with an updated effective date.
